I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE MONTHLY

a month

*this amount can be edited*

Ramadhan may be over, but the Lord of Ramadhan remains.

Our beloved guest may have departed, but it doesn't have to mean saying goodbye to the good habits we formed in the blessed month.

The Sahaba (ra) were far more concerned about the acceptance of their deeds, than the deed itself. For six months, prior to Ramadhan, they would pray that they would reach the month, and for the following six months after, for their worship in the month to be accepted.

But the true sign that our deeds have been accepted is if we remain steadfast in performing those deeds long after the month has passed.

"There are some people who strive hard in Ramadhan, but when it ends, they stop." Bishr Al Hafi replied, "How evil are these people! They only know the rights of Allah in Ramadhan. Indeed the pious person is the one who worships and strives hard throughout the entire year."
(Lataif al Maarif)

Ramadhan may have ended, but the rights of our brothers and sisters, living in poverty and isolation on our doorstep, are still very much present.

Right now, 7.2m in the UK are experiencing food insecurity. 6m are living in deep poverty and 3.8m are destitute. With Muslims at three times greater risk of falling into very deep poverty families suffering silently in our neighbourhoods, are under severe pressure and too often forgotten.

Asylum seekers, traumatised by their experiences in Gaza, Syria and Yemen, are living in destitution, on a meagre £8 a week stipe-end insufficient for their basic needs. They cannot afford clothing for themselves, their children, or basic hygiene products to ensure they live with dignity.

Too many single mothers, widows and wives of prisoners, struggle to afford their rent, are forced to choose between heating their homes and feeding their children, and too often spiral deeper into debt.

"I had no food today and struggling with money. I messaged Embrace asking for help. Within half an hour, I was sent a £50 food voucher from the charity. It was after official hours too. Alhamdullilah for such a quick response. Thanks to Embrace I was able to go out and stock up my empty fridge with food."

In the 6 weeks since Embrace launched, we have received over 130 applications from Muslims experiencing severe financial hardship.

We simply cannot meet the demand for support without your help.

To continue supporting our families we need you to start the best deeds, the small but regular. Just 1000 of you to make the commitment to as little as £1 a day. That's less than your daily coffee fix or sacrificing a bar of chocolate. Just £30 a month to ensure we can mean we can deliver the financial and pastoral support they require and empower them for a brighter tomorrow.

"O people, you must do whatever you can of good deeds, for Allah does not get tired until you get tired. The most beloved of deeds to Allah are those which are continuous, even if they are little. The family of Muhammad (saw) when they did something, they would persist in doing it."
(Muslim)

By making small sacrifices on our part this Shawwal and giving monthly, can ensure our neighbours in need don't go hungry.

Sacrificing the cost of your weekly coffee, or just £3.73 a week, £15 a month – just 50p a day - can transform lives.

Other ways you can make this an extraordinary Shawwal.
