Eid Mubarak from Embrace!

TaqabalAllahu minna wa minkum.

May Allah accept your siyam, qiyam, sadaqah and Ibadah from the auspicious month of Ramadhan. May you have concluded the month attaining His Forgiveness, Pleasure and Salvation from the Fire.

Whether you are celebrating Eid al-Fitr on Sunday or Monday,  we wish you and your loved ones a wonderful Eid. We pray this day is filled with happiness, love and joy for you all and for all our beneficiaries.

Whilst it can be easy to feel sadness at Ramadhan’s departure, we were blessed to have received this gift and reached its end. We praise and thank Allah for allowing us this opportunity and for the ability to fast, pray, give charity and perform an abundance of good deeds. Ramadhan is a lesson for us to demonstrate what we are capable of achieving and an opportunity to build these habits to carry them throughout the year to come.

As the first Ramadhan for Embrace, we have been moved by the waves of compassion of the ummah. It is truly heart-warming to witness strangers parting with their wealth for His Sake, and entrusting it to us to benefit those less fortunate.

Thanks to your generous support, and the indefatigable efforts of our volunteer fundraisers this month, we have been able to raise £123,000 so that we can assist vulnerable families living in poverty, isolation and trauma in the UK, who have nowhere else to turn. Our deepest, heartfelt thanks to all of you who made this possible. May Allah accept it, make it heavy on your scale of good deeds and make it a proof and light for you, and a relief in your times of difficulty, ameen.

With your support, we can bring light into the lives of those who feel engulfed in darkness. Your kindness and compassion makes a world of difference, and, together, we can create a brighter future of hope and sufficiency. May this Eid bring peace, prosperity and relief to all, ameen.

JazaakumAllahu khaira ahsan al-jazaa’ for being part of our mission.

“Eid is not for the one who wears new clothes. Eid is for the one whose obedience rises.

Eid is not for the one with beautiful clothes and fine means of transport. Eid is for the one whose sins are forgiven.” (Ibn Rajab)

Let’s also reflect on the true meaning of this day – increasing us in obedience to Him.

May Allah grant us istiqamah after Ramadhan, and the tawfiq to remain upon our good deeds for the rest of the year, ameen.
On this day, don’t forget those who may not be blessed with the same togetherness or joy that we are experiencing.

Let’s continue building a legacy of compassion and kindness, not only in Ramadhan, but every day.

There’s still time to make a difference.
