As we walk\, we’ll reflect on the Creation of Allah\, reconnect with nature\, and stand in solidarity with sisters and families facing poverty\, isolation\, and trauma right here in the UK. Sisters stepping up for sisters – where every step brings hope this spring.  \nWalking in Support of Our Sisters\nBy taking part\, you’ll be supporting marginalised Muslim women and families\, including: \n\nAsylum seekers\, surviving on as little as £9 a week after fleeing war-torn countries such as Palestine\, Syria\, Yemen\, Sudan and beyond.\nRefugee families rebuilding their lives on the edge of homelessness\nSisters with loved ones in prison raising their children alone\nSingle mothers and widows struggling to provide stability for their children\nSurvivors of abuse rebuilding their lives in safety\nReverts facing isolation and financial hardship\n\nYour participation helps ensure no sister is left to struggle alone. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🧠 FAQs: Your Questions Answered\n\n\n\nHow can I take part? Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. \nPlaces may be limited\, so early registration is advised. \n\n\n\nHow much does it cost to sign up?\n\n\nInfants (0–3\, in pram/stroller): Free\nChildren (4–17): £5\nAdults (18+): £10\n\nRegistration fees help cover the lunch provided\, essential event costs and logistics. \n\n\n\nIs the walk suitable for children?\nYes. The route is gentle and family-friendly\, but parents and guardians remain fully responsible for their children throughout the event. \nIf your child has any medical concerns\, please consult a healthcare professional before attending. \n\n\n\nHow much do I need to fundraise?\n\nWe ask all participants to aim for a minimum fundraising target of £100. \nThis could provide: \n\nFood and clothing for women and children in poverty\nAssistance with utility and essential bills for those facing hardship\nShelter and essential furniture and appliances\nDebt relief for urgent priority debts\nEducational and vocational or business development support to empower sisters to be self-sufficient.Most participants exceed their target with ease through sincere intention\, duʿā\, and community support.\n\nIf you choose a higher fundraising target you can provide relief for more sisters and children.\nThis will be as simple as getting 10 friends to give £10. Many participants exceed the minimum target with ease through sincere intention\, du’a\, and community support. \n\n\n\n\n\nHow fit do I need to be?\n\nThe walk is gentle and suitable for all fitness levels. It will take place at a relaxed pace within Battersea Park and will last approximately 2–3 hours\, including stops for reflection. \nIf you have any medical conditions or concerns\, please consult your GP before registering. \n\n\n\nWill food be provided?\n\nYes. Lunch will be provided as part of the Sisters Spring Walk & Picnic for all participants over 4 years.
