❄️ Be a Snowflake of Mercy

🧣 Help Me Create a Blanket of Relief This Winter

This winter, I’ve taken up Embrace’s Snowflakes of Mercy challenge, to raise £4000 to create a blanket of relief for the most vulnerable families in our communities - and I need your help.

Embrace needs your help to raise £125000 to help over 417 families this Winter

For millions across the UK - especially single mothers, families of detainees, widows, and asylum seekers - Winter deepens despair, reawakens trauma, and turns daily hardship into a crisis.

  • Imagine choosing between heating or eating.

  • Imagine sending your child to bed without a warm blanket or a hot meal.

  • Imagine grieving in a freezing home, isolated and in silence.

This isn’t someone else's story. This is happening just a few doors down from our own homes.

🥶 The Winter Reality in the UK:

Across the UK, poverty bites harder in the cold. And it hits Muslim households the hardest.

  • 10 million households in fuel poverty

  • 14 million people went without food in 2024 - including nearly 4 million children

  • Over 2.3 million homes will keep the heating off this winter as they can’t afford it

  • 750,000 elderly people are choosing between heating and eating

  • 50% of Muslim households live in poverty - three times the national average

These aren’t distant struggles - they’re happening right here, in our towns and cities.

❄️ Like snowflakes, no act of mercy falls alone.

When snowflakes gather, they form a soft, protective blanket on the hardest ground. That’s what we’re doing - one donor, one Snowflake of Mercy at a time - creating a Blanket of Relief for those suffering in silence.

Every pound you donate will go directly towards helping families in the UK survive the cold, hunger, and isolation of winter poverty.

🧕🏽 Who You’ll Be Helping:

Your donation will bring real, immediate relief to:

  • 👩‍👧‍👦 A single mother, struggling to buy warm bedding and clothing for her children

  • 👨🏾‍✈️ A prisoner’s family, left isolated and alone, facing dark nights and no heat

  • 👴🏽 An elderly uncle battling grief and illness, unable to afford gas for his freezing home

  • 🧑🏽‍🦱 An asylum seeker far from home, living on £9.95 a week and barred from working, wearing only the clothes he arrived in

  • 👨‍👩‍👧 A refugee family placed in an unfurnished flat with no heating, fleeing war but facing hardship all over again

💷 What Your Support Will Fund:

Your donation, big or small, will provide:

  • £25 – Blankets of relief - Warm bedding to survive freezing nights

  • £100 – Warm Winter Clothing

  • £250 – Relieve Hunger - Winter food staples for a families choosing between heating and eating

  • £400 – Warm home - Energy support to heat cold, damp homes

  • £750 – Shelter a Family - Emergency shelter for families facing homelessness

Together, we’ll create a Blanket of Relief for those facing the chilling face of winter poverty.

"I am new here and not used to the severe cold. I do not have anything to keep me warm. I am not allowed to work. I'm going through very difficult financial circumstances. It is not enough to cover our basic needs. We are in urgent need of winter clothing to protect us from the cold, as well as essential food items. I suffer from severe depression, which makes our living situation even more difficult.”

❄️ Be a Snowflake of Mercy

No snowflake falls alone.
No one should face winter alone.

Snowflakes may seem small, but when they come together, they create something powerful - a blanket of protection, of warmth, of relief.

Your donation will be part of a national wave of mercy that brings comfort to those struggling to get through this winter.

Together, we can:

✅ Clothe, feed and shelter families
✅ Keep homes warm
✅ Restore dignity
✅ Reunite loved ones

💙 Will you help me reach my goal?

No snowflake falls alone.
No one should face winter alone.
