This year, I'm hitting the water with heart and purpose — rowing for a cause that truly matters.

I'm proud to be part of the Embrace Sisters Dragon Boat team, and I’ve set myself the challenge of raising £250 to support families right here in the UK who are living through unimaginable hardship.

‼️Right now, 7.2m in the UK are experiencing food insecurity. 

‼️ 6m are living in deep poverty

‼️ 3.8m are destitute.  Our brothers and sisters are amongst them. 😢

These are families who live among us, yet suffer in silence, experiencing poverty, trauma and isolation:

  • the lonely widow, overwhelmed with grief, struggling to provide for her orphan children



  • the broken-hearted child of a prisoner, yearning for his father’s presence



  • the young mother fleeing domestic violence, in need of shelter



  • the invisible refugee caught between the pain of leaving home and the misery of rejection and destitution in the UK.


But you and I can change that.

  • Facilitate a family reunion for £40 (family prison visit)

  • Relieve the hungry for £250 (food vouchers for a month) or £65 for a week

  • Comfort the traumatised for £200 (4 therapy sessions for a month or £50 per session)

  • Shelter the vulnerable for £500

  • Alleviate those crippled by debt for £1000

  • Inspire the despairing to a new future for £2000
