Support Umm Aisha's Back 2 School Challenge
As part of Embrace’s Back 2 School Challenge, I’m aiming to raise £200 to help vulnerable children walk tall into school this September.
For half a million children in the UK living in poverty, the start of a new school year brings stress, shame, and exclusion - not excitement. They face bullying, isolation, or even being sent home simply because their family can't afford the right uniform or basic supplies.
“Whoever clothes a believer will be clothed from the green silks of Paradise.” (Tirmidhi)
Adam’s dad is in prison. His mum is doing her best, but it’s not enough to cover school costs. He walks through the school gates in torn shoes, a blazer two sizes too small, and a heart full of dread.
🧥 £380 could clothe him with confidence.
Sara fled war with her mother and now struggles with poverty in the UK. Her family receives just £8 a week per child. She worries not about homework - but how she’ll get to school without a uniform or bag.
📚 £50 could equip her with the tools to learn.
“We are asylum seekers and not allowed to work. We live hand to mouth. We can’t afford school clothes.”
£50 – Packs their Bags with Dignity - Essential stationery & equipment
£380 – Clothes with Confidence - Average cost of Uniform for the year in the UK (uniform, shoes, bag, supplies)
Let’s help children feel included, not ashamed.
9 children in every classroom live in poverty - through no fault of their own. Children from refugee families, single-parent households, or with a parent in prison face barriers no child should.
Your donation can restore hope and dignity.
It’s not just about clothes - it’s about confidence, inclusion, and opportunity.
“Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection.” (Muslim)
🎁 Please donate today and help me reach my target
Together, we can make sure no child is left behind this September.
Don’t let poverty be part of their school uniform.
Help them walk tall this term.
